EYE MAKEUP (EYE PENCILS & EYE LINERS & EYESHADOWS)
are based on a particular technology and are made up of a base waxy whose composition is quite similar to that of lipsticks in which the pigments are dispersed. It is the judicious mixture of waxes and oils that will achieve a mine fat extruded or molded into a cylindrical wooden body. The latter must be neither too hard nor too soft, not be brittle and allow placing a uniform line on the edge of the eyelid. Eyebrow pencils will generally be harder, grayer in diameter.
The purpose of eye liners is to modify or even correct the shape of the eye by fine and clean line drawn on the edge of the eyelid near the roots of the eyelashes. They contribute to intensify the expressiveness of the gaze. A line that is too clear can harden the look. They are generally either emulsions or suspensions of pigments in aqueous film-forming gels which fix the product and prevent the muddy appearance.
- The eyeliner should not flake off when drying or during tracing
- The eyeliner must have sufficient adhesion to allow a clear line and precise, without migration in the corner of the eye
- The eyeliner must be water resistant so as not to flow with tears
- The eyeliner must be suitable for contact lens wearers
Eyeshadows or eye shadows are cosmetic products intended to enhance the depth of the gaze, thanks to a colored background that gives relief to the eyelid. The fading of shades ensures great naturalness.
They come in three different forms:
- Compacted powders
- Grease pencils
Compacted powders are currently the most widely used. They are conditioned in boxes containing either a single shade (solo) or two shades (duo) or one palette of diversified shades.
The product will be removed using a flexible, flat brush or an applicator mousse.
